2019

Year in Review

Our Mission is to

“Strengthen Social Programs”

We do this through

Participatory Research & Impact Evaluations

ensuring development assistance has maximum

Social Impact

This was 2019 for us:

Our team worked on research projects across 15 states, visiting over 300 villages, speaking to more than 10,000 people

…on topics of maternal and neonatal mortalityquality of education and dropouts, skill development and livelihoodsdisability and inclusion.

Partnering with

United Way Mumbai

we undertook a baseline study, with 2000 households…..

.. exploring housing, education, health, sanitation, livelihoods, & safety in slums, to design social programs within the lens of a
‘Collective Impact Model’
We developed an

‘Audit Scorecard’ to assess

L&T’s CSR programs based on OECD DAC’s Quality Standards for Development Evaluation

This provided an objective, data oriented structure to assess social performance based on quantitative data and qualitative insights collected through a process of stakeholder engagement, document reviews and participatory research

A mid-term assessment study for HDFC Bank

analysed the impact of an education program with a strong gender focus…

understanding improvements in the overall quality in schoolsand life skills of students, as well as positive community perception, changes towards education.
Our work with
Antarang Foundation
delved into the myriad challenges faced by children and youth with respect to careers and jobs….
..and we evaluated the impact of
Unltd India’s incubation support of social enterprises involved with skill development initiatives.
Process Documentation studies with
Youth4Jobs and PGSS…
…. provided insights into
contextual factors which determine program outcomes, stakeholder perceptions, and recommendations to strengthen and scale programs.

Training Programs informed participants on

nuances of social program design, evaluation frameworks and data-oriented approaches to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The past year was significant in many ways……

…a larger team, many places travelled and perspectives heard, and the opportunity to work on very, very interesting projects –

2019 was a year to remember!
