Who we are!
Back in 2010, after completing their post graduate degrees in Development Studies and International Relations, Sharon and Payal talked extensively about the importance of strategic program design, implementation and evaluation. These conversations led them to co-found The 4th Wheel, a research and development consultancy firm, with a mission to ‘strengthen social programs’.
While Sharon can be characterized by her love for development research, Payal is known for her dedication to build strong collaborations for social impact. They believe that through social impact consulting and effective social impact management, they can elevate the long-term sustainable change created by social investments. Their passion for community-based initiatives and understanding of the socio-cultural underpinnings of socio-economic development in India, have played a guiding role in their work.
What we do!
As a research and advisory firm, 4th Wheel provides valid and sophisticated information on social welfare programs in order to make data-driven decisions. Strategic advisory services result in monitoring and quality control systems to manage social projects; institutionalising performance reporting and achieving tangible results. Practical, culturally relevant and ongoing social impact assessment strategies are designed for organisations, that involve all program stakeholders and not just evaluation experts. Impact evaluation is incorporated into program design by developing contextual Theory of Change (ToC) frameworks and building impact focused solutions. Corresponding to ToCs, indicator grids are designed, which facilitates Results-based Management. Communication for Development(Com4Dev) assignments attach significant importance to meaningful participation of stakeholders in developing unique social stories. We help transform reports into visually engaging content, to share stories, garner support and improve the likelihood of engagement and comprehension, in turn building positive social perceptions of organisations. Capacity building programs aid teams in implementing social projects, conceptualizing program design, developing outreach and communication plans, forming strong partnerships, and assessing organisational impact.
4th Wheel brings together passionate individuals from across
the development field who share common interests and dreams.
